Privacy policy
This site is deliberately quiet about you. It collects only what is needed to deliver the page and draw the sky you ask for.

What we don't collect
There are no accounts, analytics, advertisements, contact forms or third-party scripts here. We don't build a visitor profile, and we don't sell or share visitor data.
Your sky
The default sky starts with a representative point for your browser's time zone. That lookup happens in your browser. The representative coordinates go to our sky API in a cacheable request; they are not your device's position.
If you choose “use my exact location,” your browser asks permission. The full position stays in your browser to draw the sky. For the written sky description, latitude and longitude are rounded to two decimal places—roughly one kilometre—and sent in a non-cacheable POST request. Its body is neither logged nor stored.
Touch and tilt
On a phone or tablet, the eye follows your finger or stylus without reading a motion sensor. If you choose “tilt the eye,” your browser may ask permission to share device orientation. Those angles are used only by the page in front of you: they are never sent, logged or stored.
Theme preference
Choosing light or dark stores one cookie named theme for up to a year. It contains only the word light or dark, applies across this site, and is sent securely in production. It is not an identifier.
Server records
The web server keeps ordinary operational metadata such as the request time, method, path, status, request identifier and network address. Application diagnostics do not record cookies or request bodies.
Third parties
Fonts, scripts and sky data are served from this site. Visiting a page does not ask an advertising network, analytics provider, font host or other third party for anything.
